The cable ducts that carry the high voltage service cables into the building were also holding ground water after long periods of heavy rain when the water table became higher. This impacted on the continuous production of concrete railway sleepers due to water present on the factory floor becoming a safety hazard. The service entry points in the ducts were sealed using Heyen Aquamastic, Heyen Concrete Repair Mortar and Heyen Super Slurry.

Since this project has been completed Heyen have been asked by Network Rail to specify on various other projects where water ingress has been a problem.
